SHARE YOUR VOICE: 101.3 FM Camaradio Invites Aspiring Hosts To Special Workshop

Interested in trading your podcast listener status for a microphone? Camaradio (camaradio.org) is offering local residents a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of Low-Power FM (LPFM) broadcasting and launch their very own radio show.

The station will host a special, one-hour information session designed to teach the fundamentals of community radio hosting. The workshop is scheduled for Sunday, October 5th, at 1:00 PM and will take place at the popular local hangout, American Pie Coffee and Vinyl in Camarillo, CA.

This session is the perfect entry point for anyone in Ventura County who has ever dreamed of hosting a show—whether it’s about local history, unique music, community news, or niche hobbies. Attendees will gain essential knowledge, including:

  • The Ins and Outs of LPFM: Understanding the technical and community rules governing Low-Power FM broadcasting.
  • Networking: Meeting other enthusiastic, aspiring hosts from the local area.
  • Producer Pairing: Getting matched with an experienced producer who will guide them through the process of developing and creating a successful, self-produced show for the community.

The goal of this initiative, spearheaded by camaradio.org, is to enrich the local airwaves with diverse, authentic voices from the communities it serves. No prior radio experience is required—only a passion for sharing your perspective with neighbors across Ventura County.
